Trusting God in the Waiting

Waiting is one of the hardest things we face in our walk with God. Whether we’re waiting for healing, direction, provision, or the fulfillment of a promise, the in-between seasons can stretch our faith and test our patience. Yet, throughout Scripture, we see that God often works most powerfully during the waiting.

Abraham waited decades for Isaac. Joseph endured years of injustice before rising to power. David was anointed king but spent much of his early adulthood fleeing for his life. These weren't wasted seasons – they were sacred preparations. God was shaping their character, aligning circumstances, and deepening their trust.
Psalm 27:14 encourages us: “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” This isn’t passive waiting. It’s active trust. It’s leaning into God's presence, seeking Him in prayer, and walking in obedience even when we don’t see the full picture.
God is never late. His timing is perfect, and His plans for us are filled with hope. When we wait on Him, we’re not standing still—we're growing, trusting, and aligning ourselves with His greater purpose.
Prayer: Lord, help me trust You in the waiting. Strengthen my heart when I grow weary, and remind me that Your timing is always best. Teach me to see the waiting as a sacred space where You’re working in ways I cannot yet see. Amen.
