God Uses Broken People

The world often tells us that broken things are useless. Cracks should be hidden. Weakness means failure. And if you’re not whole, you’re not worthy. But God doesn’t see things the way we do. In His kingdom, brokenness is not the end — it’s the beginning.
The Bible is filled with stories of people who were shattered by sin, shame, or suffering — and yet, God still chose them.
Moses was a murderer with a speech problem.
Rahab was a prostitute in a pagan city.
David committed adultery and murder.
Peter denied Jesus three times.
Paul persecuted the church.
These weren’t perfect people. They were broken. And yet, God used every one of them
for something extraordinary.

That’s the pattern of grace — God chooses the weak to shame the strong. He uses the broken to show His power. He picks people others would throw away. Why? Because it makes His glory clear.
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
God doesn’t need your perfection. He needs your surrender.
If you’re walking through a season of heartbreak, failure, or deep regret, this is not where your story ends. In fact, it might be where healing starts. God can take what’s been shattered in your life and piece it back together into something more beautiful than before — not by erasing the cracks, but by shining His light through them.
Think of the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold. The cracks remain, but they’re filled with something precious. The piece is more valuable because of what it’s been through — not less.
That’s how God works in your life. He doesn’t just fix you — He redeems you. He doesn’t just restore — He rebuilds with purpose.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3
So don’t disqualify yourself. Don’t believe the lie that your mistakes are too big or your pain too deep. You are not too far gone. You are not too broken. You are exactly the kind of person God uses to do something powerful.
When you bring your brokenness to Jesus, you’re not bringing Him a burden — you’re giving Him permission to show the world just how good He is.
Let Him use your pain for purpose. Let Him turn your scars into stories of healing. Let Him prove that nothing — nothing — is wasted when it’s placed in His hands.
